ABC Music & Me Policy

ABC Policy for Private Locations

Payments of $36.00 a month are due on the first day of the month for all classes. A late fee of $10.00 per month will be assessed if your payment is not handed into the school or postmarked by the first day of the month. The materials fee of $40.00 plus the first month's tuition will be due with your registration form before each session begins.

Remember, the materials fee only comes 3 times a year for ABC Music & Me. So, please note the materials fee plus the registration fee is due the weeks of: September 1st, June 1st, and January 1st.

Please note that some months may only have one or two lessons. Also, please note that the entire amount of $36.00 is due for those months and that the tuition is prorated so that you pay the same amount every month.

Please make all checks payable to Kindermusik by Ally and drop them off at the school office or mail them to 207 Parsons Mill Lane, Columbia, SC 29229.

For quicker service, please pay in Full or monthly through our Pay Pal system. To request a reminder and payment link through Pay Pal, please e-mail Ally Trotter at Kinderlady@gmail.com.

At-Home Materials and Parental Involvement:

Parents are encouraged to read the At-Home materials that come home on certain weeks and to encourage your child in Kindermusik activities at home. Since most learning takes place in the home, please consider scheduling in some special Kindermusik time with your child at home. The CDs that you will receive have all the songs and chants that are done in class so you and your child can supplement the classroom experience at home. Your child will love to teach you what was learned in class.

Makeup Classes

If a Kindermusik teacher must miss a class for any reason the school director or location coordinator will be promptly notified. A makeup class will be held as soon as possible, most likely on a Friday or during the last two weeks of the semester.

You will receive an e-mail or a phone call from the Kindermusik Instructor stating the missed class and time for a make-up date. Please respond back with a confirmation e-mail, telling the Educator you received the news about class.

If class is canceled due to weather or illness, you will receive an email the night before or the day of classes. PLEASE acknowledge the email so it reduces the amount of calls the instructor will have to make.

If have missed a class and you would like to request a time to make-up a class, please ask Ally for availability.

Attendance and Sick Child Policy

Attendance:
Please make every effort to arrive to class weekly and on time and also depart on time--it makes such a difference in your child's comfort with the group.

Please take a few minutes to arrive early for the first class, making sure your child has used the restroom, which is located to the left side of the studio, outside of the community room.

If your child must miss class for any reason, it is helpful to us if you send an e-mail or call us. Make ups for classes missed are not guaranteed, but available upon request. Make ups must be completed during the same semester class was missed. There are no refunds for missed classes.

Sick Child Policy:
Please be considerate of other children and adults in our classes. If you, or your child is sick, please decide on whether or not it is best to come to class.

Please adhere to the following if you or your child has any of these symptoms, please keep him/her home:

Fever within the last 24 hours
Runny nose with yellow or green mucus
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Sore throat or difficulty swallowing
Lice
Rash or spots on skin, ringworm infection
Severe itching
Mouth sores
Eye discharge
Significant tiredness, irritability, crying
Uncontrolled coughing; Difficulty breathing, wheezing

If your child has these signs or symptoms while attending a Kindermusik class, you will be asked to leave and make-up the class at a more suitable time. This is for the consideration of all who are in the class and who may be susceptible to catching the illness.
